Old Farmer-ess

Here she is just after her spaying with the big blond boy who passed away last year.

Here she is just after her spaying with the big blond boy who passed away last year.

Farmer-ess.  That’s like being a goddess but a lot healthier.  And maybe a little sleep-deprived. I start my days at 5:00 AM because the house cats begin suggesting it’s time to eat around 4.  I’d leave out a feeder but my gray tortiseshell Fat Girl (ah, you get the drift now) feels any morsel that doesn’t run from her should make its way into her stomach.  It’s a strange thing.  She wasn’t fat until she was spayed at 6 months of age. She and her sister Shy Girl were spayed on the same day.  Fat Girl (formerly Funny Face because of her facial markings) came home and within 4 weeks was way overweight.  Putting her on a diet hasn’t worked.  She can and does eat dog food (both raw and dry), chicken food, cow manure and any insect or other creature that doesn’t run too fast.
